Hurricane Weather

I’m really busy right now, but with all the activity in the ocean, I wanted to remind you where to find good information on hurricanes.

The most comprehensive site is: www.spaghettimodels.com  The guy who runs it is very good and the information is better than the National Hurricane Center.  He also has a Facebook page and goes live a couple times each day to discuss what the models are showing.

www.weather.gov is the National Weather Service.

www.windy.com is a great site that shows what the models are showing in an animated format.  You can see where the winds are and what the expected track of storms is.  After the spaghetti models site, this one is my favorite.  Windy.com also has an app.

New site that is really cool:  http://en.blitzortung.org  This uses lightning detectors to track lightning strikes in real time.
